Situation

Wildman initially retained Cosgrove Partners (CP) to optimize the company’s marketing and messaging. The uniform rental and facility services company needed direction in determining valuable differentiators to better position themselves in the marketplace. After performing a comprehensive current state analysis, the Cosgrove team executed an outsourced marketing and sales effectiveness solution for Wildman.


 Cosgrove Partners Action

CP performed a detailed assessment of the organization which included traveling with sellers and the service team to more than 100 customers to observe interactions. The deliverables also included:

  • A review of customer contracts

  • A robust market sizing and analysis to identify customer penetration opportunity for each customer/account

  • A Market analysis and launch plan for multiple geographical expansions

To help optimize customer penetration, CP helped Wildman restructure the sales organization into two divisions – Customer Development, focusing on customer penetration and Business Development, focusing on customer acquisition. This liberated the Customer Development team to focus on strategic customers.

Steve Cosgrove joined the board of Wildman Business Group in 2020 and remains on the board today.


 Outcome

Due to CP’s influence, Wildman Business Group has reorganized their business structures to maximize core business growth. Wildman achieved more strategic focus of resources to drive additional organic and inorganic growth. To date, business has enjoyed increased profitability and revenue per customer with the CP partnership.
